Thursday, June 20, 2019

At MURA's 4th AGM on June 20th, members heard presentations by the president on the many ways that our association has been "Strengthening its roots in the McGill Community" and "Expanding its Reach Beyond." The Vice President (Internal) spoke about the participation at this year’s events and the results of a member survey concerning event preferences.

There was an update on membership by former category of employment by the Vice President (External).  The members also voted on the 2018-19 financial review, the annual fee for members, and the budget for 2019-20.  As requested during the session, the treasurer will send  a more detailed breakdown of the MURA expenses.

The Principal then gave a most inspiring speech on this year’s breakthroughs at McGill and shared with us a vision of the future for McGill's Third Century that was followed by a general discussion with the members.  The AGM concluded with a wonderful occasion for members to chat and mingle with old friends and colleagues while enjoying delicious nibbles and drinks.
